Grožnjan
Medieval fortress of Groznjan was first described in written documents in 1102. In the 14th century it was the administrative centre of the northern part of Venetian Republic. The Fonticus gallery with its continuous exhibitions substantially contributes to the town1s cultural life. In 1965 Groznjan was pronounced the Town of Artists, and since 1969 it has been host to the Cultural Centre of International Music Youth Federation.
